If you have graphic glitches, low FPS, or crashes, checking your graphics card driver version can help figure out if an update is needed. Here is how you can do it:
🔵 For Intel
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Windows Start icon. Select Device Manager to open it.
- Click Yes if prompted for permission from User Account Control.
- Expand the Display Adapter section and right-click on your Intel Display Adapter. You may have one or more adapters depending on your system configuration. Select Properties.
- Navigate to the Driver tab and note the Driver Version presented.
⚫ For AMD Radeon
- Right-click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings.
- Click on System to access the system overview, software, and hardware details.
- Select the Software tab for detailed information about the installed graphics driver. This screen provides the driver version as well as the versions for the various software components installed.
- Click on View Release Notes. The release notes for the currently installed driver will be displayed using the system's default browser.
🟢 For NVIDIA
- Right-click on your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Select Help > System Information.
- The driver version is listed at the top of the Details window.
You can also get the driver version number from the Windows Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button (bottom-left corner) and choose Device Manager
- Click Yes if Windows asks for permission
- Expand the Display adapters section
- Right-click your graphics card → Properties
- Select the Driver tab and read the Driver version. The last 5 digits are the NVIDIA driver version number.
